About Me!

Hello there! My name is Gabrielle Marie Rivera and I am a student at Red River College Polytechnic, currently taking the Game Development - Programming course.

Prior to my time in RRC Polytech, I was studying Computer Science at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. I also took programming electives during high school which became my foundation in programming.

Aside from programming, I do spend a lot of time creating illustrations and publication materials for commissions and personal use. I incorporate my skills and knowledge in creative arts to my projects in order to further enhance the quality of my work.

As a video game enthusiast and programmer, I am proud to say that I love what I do and I love contributing to the community through the expression of code and visual storytelling.

Notable Achievements

Graphic Design and Illustration has always been one of my passions. Working for ASCII taught me how to work smarter, network and gain connections and better integrate my illustrations into code. I also helped in organizing trainings and create promotional ads for the organization.

2015-2019

Editorial Cartoonist

I have always been a part of my schools' publishing team and had passion for creating publication material. One of my notable achievements in the field includes winning 8th runner up in the annual District Schools Press Conference.

2015-2017

I was a member of the IIST IT Group and had undergone software and hardware training every summer. During my last year of high school, I was appointed secretary and was able to organize events, meetings and trainings for members and non-members alike.

IIST Values Club

In order to give back to my community, I have joined the Values Club. In my second year of high school, I was appointed president and helped plan and organize outreach programs, youth seminars and other volunteering work.
